The 1935 $25 is black with royal purple tint. It shows His Majesty King George V with
Her Majesty Queen Mary on the face and a view of Windsor Castle on the back.
The $25 note was a special issue for the Silver Jubilee of King George V. Although
not strictly speaking, a member of the 1935 issue, it is often grouped there.
This bill is specially dated May 6, 1935 unlike all the other bills in the 1935 series
which are dated just 1935. This bill is also the only Bank of Canada issue to
ever have two portraits. Of the 160,000 bills issued, only 1,840 remain
outstanding.
