All together, the Bank of Canada has produced 10 different denominations, listed at the right. The $25 bill and the $500 bill were only
released in the 1935 issue and then discontinued.
These pages will likely take a while to download, but they contain images of all the different major bill types of each denomination. It's
interesting to see the bill "grow up".
The "denomination" pages only cover major types (as throughout the web site). The number of types is
more than
230. The number
of different prefixes (the letters at the beginning of the serial number) and types is at least 2500 and increasing constantly.
